Explore the not-so-distant past through
the eyes of The Shadow Collective. Our members present
studies in urban decay, documenting the final chapter in the
story of spaces long forgotten. Join us as we explore the
creeping shadows of modern-day ruins and illuminate the secret
corners of once-vital spaces that now lie empty. On our
journey we hear only echoes of the past –
children’s voices in a crumbling orphanage; the chatter
of workers in the remains of a factory; the clang of a
streetcar decades after its last run. These stark yet
evocative images bear witness to yesterday’s world, of
structures built, used, and forgotten. They speak for the
voices that have now fallen silent. silent.

The Riverdale Art Walk is a community
based initiative that attracts visual artists from all over
Canada. It includes the work of professional and emerging
visual artists working in drawings, photography, print, new
media, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
